Job summary

Orion Electrotech is recruiting an Assembly Operative for a busy manufacturing team in Reading. The role focuses on electrical and mechanical assembly, following drawings and procedures.

You will use hand tools, work on small components, perform basic quality checks, and thrive in a hands-on environment with a 2:30pm–11:00pm Monday to Friday shift. The site offers a supportive team and opportunities to develop practical skills in a linked electrical and mechanical production line.

Assembly Operative – Reading

Location: Reading

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join a busy manufacturing team based in Reading.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is looking to develop their experience within an electrical and mechanical assembly environment.

The Role

As an Assembly Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out electrical and mechanical assembly work
• Assembling electrical and mechanical components accurately to instructions and specifications
• Using a variety of hand tools and assembly equipment
• Working with small components and parts
• Following drawings, work instructions and manufacturing procedures
• Carrying out basic quality checks on completed assemblies
