Job summary

Office Angels in Ilminster is seeking an Electronics Operations Assistant for an immediate start on a 6-month project. You will set up machinery and processes to safely manufacture optics, following procedures and driving quality and efficiency on a daily 8:00am–4:30pm schedule.

Ideal candidates are highly organised, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team. This temporary role offers weekly pay, on-site parking, and access to employee benefits through Boost.

Responsibilities

• Assemble optical and mechanical products.
• Read and follow technical drawings accurately.
• Check components and finished products meet quality standards.
• Prepare materials, mix adhesives, and complete bonding and assembly tasks.
• Operate production equipment safely and correctly.
• Complete production paperwork, inspection records, and reports accurately.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain health and safety standards.

Job Title: Electronics Operations Assistant | Immediate Start

Location: Ilminster

Hourly Rate: Up to £15.50 (DOE)

Duration: 6 Months

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am till 4:30pm

We are seeking a highly organised and punctual Electronics Operations Assistant to join a thriving global business based in Ilminster, supporting them with a new and urgent project. You will be responsible for setting up machinery, processes, and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient manufacture of optics, while following established procedures, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and driving departmental output and continuous improvement targets. This is a temporary role starting immediately for therefore you must be available immediately and able to commit to the duration of the role.
