Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an Assembly Operative to join a well-established specialist manufacturing business in Ilminster. You will assemble optical and mechanical components, perform quality inspections and ensure products meet high standards.

The role is Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, with pay from £13.33 per hour DOE, and is designed for hands-on, precision work within a supportive team. Candidates should have experience in manufacturing or assembly, good attention to detail, and

• Assemble optical and mechanical components to detailed specifications.
• Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with manufacturing procedures.
• Inspect components to ensure they meet required quality standards.
• Carry out optics-to-metal bonding processes and adhesive preparation.
• Align and orientate optical sub-assemblies accurately.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Conduct inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
• Pack finished products ready for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively within a small production team.
• Follow all health and safety and quality procedures.
