Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Cathedral Appointments is seeking an Assembly Operator for a temporary role in a precision optical components environment. You will work in a small, skilled team assembling and bonding optical components, following detailed procedures with hands-on training provided.
The position offers strong progression potential for the right candidate and a competitive hourly rate. The role suits someone with production experience, good numeracy, and the ability to work methodically with attention to detail.
Our client is an established manufacturer of precision optical and opto-mechanical components, supplying specialist markets including the defence and industrial sectors. As part of a period of continued production demand, they are looking to strengthen their assembly team with an Assembly Operator on a temporary basis, with strong potential to move to a permanent role for the right candidate.
This is a hands-on production role within a small, skilled team, assembling and bonding precision optical components to exacting specifications. It would suit someone with previous production or manufacturing experience who takes a methodical, detail-focused approach and is comfortable following detailed written procedures. Full training will be given, so a willingness to learn is just as important as prior experience.
If you have a steady hand, an eye for detail, and are looking for a hands-on production role with genuine progression potential, we would love to hear from you.
Cathedral Appointments is committed to equal opportunities in recruitment. We welcome applications from all candidates and assess every applicant on merit, skills and experience alone, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
We regret to inform you that at this time, we are unable to offer sponsorship for work authorisation for this role. Therefore, candidates must possess valid authorisation to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship.
