Job summary

Prime Appointments is recruiting Assembly Operatives in Ipswich, Suffolk. Immediate start with hours 06:30-15:00 and a starting pay of £13.50-£14 per hour, with overtime available at enhanced rates.

You will operate hand and power tools to assemble mechanical parts and read engineering drawings to ensure accurate builds. Candidates with basic knowledge of assembly or mechanics are welcome, previous product experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Operating hand and power tools to assemble mechanical parts and components.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Basic assembly or mechanical knowledge is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools to assemble mechanical parts and components.
• Machining as required.
• Read and work from engineering drawings.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow health & safety procedures.

Job description

We are currently recruiting Assembly Operatives in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Start Date: Immediate

Hours: 06:30-15:00

The role offers a starting pay between £13.50-£14ph, subject to experience. There is also overtime available at increased rates of pay.

Assembly Operative Duties:

• Operating various hand / power tools to assemble mechanical parts & components.
• Machining as and when required
• Ability to read & work from engineering drawings
• Always maintain a clean & tidy work environment
• Ensure the company's health & safety procedures are always adhered to

Previous product experience is desirable but not essential. We will consider any applicants who have basic knowledge of assembly or mechanics.

You must be a competent user of hand and power tools and be able to read from technical drawings independently.
