Job summary

TRC Yorkshire in Stourport is hiring Assembly Operatives to join a leading manufacturer in a busy workshop. You will manufacture or assemble components in accordance with drawings or customer requirements. Hours: Mon-Thu 7am-4pm, Fri 7am-1pm, Rate: £12.71.

The role is temp to perm and requires previous mechanical assembly experience, with good hand and power tool skills and the ability to read engineering drawings. Reliability and clear communication are essential.

• Previous mechanical assembly experience.

• Reliable with good communication skills.
• Own transport desirable for occasional site moves.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality finishes in a workshop while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• General inspection.
• Assemble components using hand/power tools per drawings/SOPs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Notify supervisor of defective tooling or tooling/production issues.
• Assist other departments when required.
• Any other ad hoc duties.

We are currently hiring Assembly Operatives to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for the manufacture or assembly of components in accordance with drawings or customers’ requirements

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm

Rate: £12.71

Type: Temp to perm

Location: Stourport, DY13

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality finishes in a workshop environment while maintaining excellent safety and quality standards.
• General inspection
• Using hand/power tools such as drills, mallets, screwdrivers etc to assemble metal stands and components for industrial machinery
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Responsible for the manufacture or assembly of components in accordance with drawings or customers’ requirements and SOP’s
• Advising Department Section Leader of defective tooling, jigs or fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.
• Assistance in working for other departments when necessary.
• Any other ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements:

• Previous mechanical assembly experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Reliability and good communication skills.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings.
• Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
