Job summary

Prime Appointments in Maldon is seeking Assembly operatives to join a growing manufacturing team. You will assemble parts and subassemblies according to drawings and work instructions, using hand tools and power tools to complete mechanical, electrical or structural tasks. Hours are 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

This is a temporary role that can lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. The role pays £12.90 per hour and requires basic knowledge of mechanical principles and

• Must have worked in an assembly, fabrication or hands-on manufacturing role using hand and power tools.
• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or fabrication.
• Skilled in the safe use of power tools and hand tools.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and workplace safety.
• Be physically fit due to the demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and subassemblies following detailed work instructions.
• Operate hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools (drills, screwdrivers, riveters, torque wrenches).
• Measure, cut and fit and secure components to meet precise tolerances and specifications.
• Maintain clean work space.
• Perform mechanical fastening, drilling, grinding and fitting operations.

The role is paying £12.90ph, working 7am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

The assembly role is responsible for assembling according to drawings and work instructions. The role involves using hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical, electrical or structural assembly tasks.

Skills and experience needed for this Assembler role:

• Ability to work independently or as a part of a team to meet production targets
• Be physically fit due to the demands of the job
