Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking an Assembly Operative in Cheltenham. The role involves assembling and testing electrical sub-assemblies and finished products in a supportive team environment.

The position is a 12-week temporary-to-permanent opportunity with a pay rate of £13.50 per hour and a standard Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm, Friday 7:30am-12:00pm schedule. A pay review after 6 months and on-site parking are included.

Qualifications

• Must have previous assembly or electrical assembly experience.
• Good manual dexterity and keen eye for detail.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Reliable, proactive and works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test electrical sub-assemblies.
• Build and test complete systems.
• Assemble parts from stores.
• Integrate sub-assemblies into finished products.
• Complete documentation accurately.
• Use company tablets to access drawings, emails and communications.
• Record supplier information.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Follow processes to maintain high quality standards.
• Support stock control for production builds.

What you'll be doing:

• Assembling and testing electrical sub-assemblies
• Building and testing complete systems
• Assembling parts from stores
• Integrating sub-assemblies into finished products
• Completing documentation accurately
• Using company tablets to access engineering drawings, emails and team communications
• Scanning and recording supplier information
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised workspace
• Following company processes to maintain high quality standards
• Supporting stock control for production builds

What we're looking for:

• Previous assembly or electrical assembly experience (essential)
• Good dexterity and a strong eye for detail
• Experience within a production or manufacturing environment
• A reliable, positive and proactive approach
• Someone who works well as part of a friendly team and takes pride in their work
