Job summary

Travail Employment Group has partnered with a well-established manufacturing business in the transport technology sector to recruit an Assembly Operative. You will join the production team to assemble and test electrical sub-assemblies and complete systems, using a tablet-based system for digital work instructions and emails.

The role is temporary, offers £13.50 per hour and Service-related annual leave starting at 25 days pro-rata, life assurance and a discretionary profit share.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical components desirable.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
• Comfortable using tablets and digital systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to quality and workplace organisation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test electrical sub-assemblies
• Assemble and test completed systems
• Assemble components issued from stores
• Complete all relevant production and quality documentation
• Use a tablet-based system to access digital work instructions
• Attend online meetings and training
• Send and receive company emails
• Barcode scan supplier information into spreadsheets
• Support stock control for production builds
• Monitor and maintain stock levels at workstations
• Maintain a clean and organised working area in line with 5S standards
• Follow company processes and work instructions to maintain quality standards
• Participate in continuous improvement activities

Assembly Operative to join their production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and test electrical sub-assemblies
• Assemble and test completed systems
• Assemble components issued from stores
• Complete all relevant production and quality documentation
• Use a tablet-based system to:
• Access digital work instructions (paperless system)
• Attend online meetings and training
• Send and receive company emails
• Barcode scan supplier information into spreadsheets
• Support stock control for production builds
• Monitor and maintain stock levels at workstations
• Maintain a clean and organised working area in line with 5S standards
• Follow company processes and work instructions to maintain quality standards
• Participate in continuous improvement activities

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15
• Friday: 07:30 - 12:00

Candidate Requirements
