Job summary

Euro-projects Recruitment Ltd seeks an Assembly Fitter for roles in the aerospace sector. The position requires multi-skilled bench work in assembly with rivet, drill, countersink, and press-fitting tasks. You will work across day, afternoon or night shifts with overtime on offer.

Ideally you have NVQs in mechanical fitting/assembly, can read engineering drawings, and have prior aerospace assembly experience. Commutable from Nottingham and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Riveting, drilling, countersinking, filing.

• Operating a variety of bench top tools and pneumatic tools.
• Applying surface treatments including paints and alocrom.

Assembly Fitter

• Various shift patterns available across either days, afternoons or nights.
• Would suit a proven Fitter or Technician with prior aerospace experience.

The role of an Assembly Fitter is critical to the success of the production team, the role is to be multi-skilled and cover a variety of skill sets. It is an opportunity to develop and learn new skills within the finishing department primarily.

Salary: £15.36 to £15.88 per hour. Additional shift premium if applicable to your pattern (standard days is just base rate). Additional overtime available too.

The Assembly Fitter job would suit:

• Relevant NVQ qualifications relevant to mechanical fitting and assembly.
• Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Previous experience within an assembly position for the aerospace sector.
• Practical experience of at least one of the following disciplines sheet metalwork, machining, fitting and assembly, welding and metal treatments.
