Job summary

The Assembly Fitter role is based with Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd, serving the Nottingham/Annesley area. We are seeking a proven Fitter or Technician with aerospace experience to join a multi-skilled finishing department and support production across day, afternoon or night shifts.

Responsibilities include riveting, drilling, countersinking, press fitting and broad assembly using various fasteners, with additional overtime and shift premia where applicable.

Qualifications

• NVQ qualifications in mechanical fitting and assembly.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Previous assembly experience in aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Operating a variety of bench top tools.
• Operating pneumatic tools.
• Applying surface treatments including paints, alocrom etc.
• Semi-skilled sheet metal ability; e.g. defect removal.
• Setting products in jigs and fixtures.

Job description

Assembly Fitter

Various shift patterns available across either days, afternoons or nights.

Would suit a proven Fitter or Technician with prior aerospace experience.

The role of an Assembly Fitter is critical to the success of the production team, the role is to be multi-skilled and cover a variety of skill sets. It is an opportunity to develop and learn new skills within the finishing department primarily.

Salary: £15.36 to £15.88 per hour. Additional shift premium if applicable to your pattern (standard days is just base rate). Additional overtime available too.

Requirements

• Relevant NVQ qualifications relevant to mechanical fitting and assembly.
• Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Previous experience within an assembly position for the aerospace sector.
• Practical experience of at least one of the following disciplines sheet metalwork, machining, fitting and assembly, welding and metal treatments.
