Job summary

TipTopJob in Telford, Shropshire is recruiting an Assembly Fitter to join a well-established manufacturer. The role offers regular overtime and long-term career progression on specialist vehicle builds.

You will measure, cut, and fit components in vehicles, read technical drawings, and work with hand and power tools while adhering to quality and safety standards. Monday to Thursday 7:00–17:00, Friday 7:00–15:00, with overtime available after probation.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Experience using hand and power tools would be beneficial
• Experience in assembly, manufacturing, joinery, carpentry, woodworking, or fitting
• Vehicle/automotive fitting experience desirable

Assembly Fitter : Telford, Shropshire

Up to A GBP 13.50 per hour (DOE)

45 hours per week : Overtime Available

What You’ll Be Doing

• Measuring, cutting, and fitting components into vehicles


• Working from technical drawings and assembly instructions


• Using hand and power tools including drills and spanners


• Completing quality and production paperwork


• Following health and safety procedures


• Working as part of a skilled production team

What We’re Looking For

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)


• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, joinery, carpentry, woodworking, or fitting


• Experience using hand and power tools


• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings


• Experience with woodworking equipment, band saws, nail guns, or CNC wood routing machinery would be advantageous


• Previous vehicle, campervan, commercial vehicle, or automotive fitting experience would be highly desirable

Hours And Benefits

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am to 5:00pm


• Friday: 7:00am to 3:00pm


• Overtime paid at time and a half after probation
