Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is recruiting for a Commis Sommelier in Surrey, offering exposure to a Michelin-starred fine-dining environment. You will work alongside an experienced Sommelier, developing wine knowledge and service skills within a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for wine and fine dining.
• Experience in a fine-dining restaurant, luxury hotel or high-end hospitality.
• Strong desire to learn and develop wine knowledge.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Keen eye for detail and professional approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ambition to build a career within fine dining.
• WSET qualifications would be desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the restaurant is fully stocked and prepared ahead of service.
• Provide professional and attentive wine service throughout the guest experience.
• Develop knowledge of the wine list and beverage offering.
• Assist guests with wine choices and make recommendations.
• Support wine tastings and training sessions.
• Maintain wine service equipment to high standards.
• Be aware of bookings, guest preferences and special requirements.
• Support the wider front-of-house team with beverage knowledge and service.
