Job summary

Goldenkeys in Cambridge seeks a passionate Sommelier to join its fine dining front-of-house team. Offering a 4-day working week and opportunities to advance, the role includes fully funded professional wine qualifications and growth within a Michelin-starred environment.

We're working with an exceptional Michelin-starred restaurant in Cambridge that is looking for a passionate Sommelier to join its close-knit front-of-house team.

Offering a 4-day working week, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who genuinely loves wine and hospitality and wants to continue developing their knowledge within a highly regarded fine dining environment. You'll be joining a supportive team that is keen to invest in your progression, with fully funded professional wine qualifications and plenty of opportunity to grow.

You'll be wondering what’s in it for you as a Sommelier…

• Up to £42,000 per annum (DOE)
• Private health insurance
• Working approximately 38 to 42 hours per week
• Set days off - Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
• WSET and CMS training fully funded

Responsibilities as a Sommelier…

• Providing knowledgeable and personable wine recommendations to guests
• Guiding guests through the wine list and suggesting pairings to complement their dining experience
• Supporting the smooth running of wine service throughout service
• Working closely with the wider front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience
• Continually developing your wine knowledge and sharing your passion with both guests and colleagues

This role would suit an experienced Sommelier looking for their next move or someone earlier in their wine career who has a strong foundation and is eager to develop further.

Experience is important, but they're equally interested in finding someone with the right attitude, a genuine passion for wine and hospitality, and the enthusiasm to keep learning and progressing within a Michelin-starred environment.
