Job summary

Supply Desk is recruiting an Aspiring SEND Teaching Assistant in Slough for an ASAP start. This full-time role offers a stepping stone into SEND and a chance to gain valuable classroom experience supporting pupils with additional needs.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, assist with lesson activities, promote social, emotional and behavioural development, and help adapt learning materials to meet individual needs. A DBS check is required, and ongoing training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Interest in SEND or education.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Patient, compassionate and proactive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a school setting.
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assist with lesson activities and classroom support.
