You may have previously worked as a care/support/youth worker or in roles involving children, and your transferable experience is welcome. You will support pupils with learning, development and wellbeing throughout the day.

Qualifications

• No formal Teaching Assistant qualification required.
• Based in Bourne End or willing to commute.
• Available to work 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
• Caring, patient and supportive approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis.
• Support children with SEND and additional needs.
• Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
• Support positive behaviour within the classroom.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Provide emotional and pastoral support where required.
• Help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Support pupils with their individual learning and developmental needs.
