Job summary

The Colne Community School in Colchester is seeking an outstanding Maths teacher to join the Mathematics department as Second in Charge, with a later acting period as Head of Maths (L8-12) from mid-2027. The role includes leading the Maths faculty during a handover year and returning to the Second in Charge position thereafter.

You will deliver high-quality teaching to KS3 and KS4, deputise for the Head of Faculty when needed, and support curriculum development and assessment improvements across
