Job summary

The Colne Community School in Colchester, part of the Sigma Trust, is seeking an outstanding Maths teacher to join our Mathematics Faculty as Second in Charge, with a potential acting-up period as Head of Maths.

The successful candidate will deputise during absences, help develop the Maths curriculum, and raise standards across key stages 3 and 4. The role offers a clear leadership pathway and a supportive handover from Spring Term 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in the secondary sector.

Responsibilities

• Teach across key stage 3 and 4.
• Deputise for the Head of Faculty in cases of absence.
