Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking a Head Chef in Training to lead and develop a kitchen in a Toby Carvery within your district. You’ll learn how to build a kitchen to the company standard and prepare for a Head Chef role within 6 months.

You will train with support from your district and be responsible for coaching your team, managing orders, and ensuring health and hygiene compliance as you drive sales and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have proven ability to lead a team and grow a business.
• Experience in senior kitchen roles or management positions.
• Must be able to drive to support district operations during training.

Responsibilities

• Over 6 months of training, you’ll learn to build a kitchen to the Mitchells & Butlers standard.
• Inspire and coach your team to deliver high-quality food consistently.
• Drive sales and guest satisfaction through effective leadership.
• Manage food orders, prep and stock control.
• Ensure compliance with health and hygiene regulations.
