Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers is seeking a Head Chef in Training to lead a kitchen team and develop a premier unit. The role is based in a district, with the requirement to drive and manage a small team during a structured training period.

You will train for 6 months to build a kitchen to the Mitchells & Butlers standard, with the potential to step into a full Head Chef role and oversee food ordering, prep, stock control and compliance while driving sales and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Be a seasoned pro in leading a team and developing a business.
• Be able to drive to support business in your district while training.
• Commercial catering management experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Across 6 months of training, you will become a Head Chef who can lead the kitchen.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver high‑quality food you can be proud of.
• Smash targets with your team to drive sales and guest satisfaction.
• Manage food ordering, preparation and stock control while ensuring hygiene compliance.
