Mitchells & Butlers’ Ember Inns brand is seeking a Head Chef in Training to lead a kitchen team and develop a business in the district. You will learn to build a kitchen “the Mitchells & Butlers way” and are expected to be in a kitchen of your own within six months.

You’ll gain training, leadership experience, and a strong support plan, with opportunities such as a bedsit/studio option and a pension. A step up into a Head Chef role awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Be a seasoned pro in leading a team and developing a business.
• You may be currently working as a commercial catering manager, school kitchen manager, care home head chef, sous chef, deputy kitchen manager or the manager of an independent business or equivalent.
• Be able to drive, in order to support business in your district whilst training.

Responsibilities

• Across your 6 months of training, we will give you the tools to become a Head Chef who will...
• Train and inspire your team to consistently deliver high-quality food to be proud of.
• Be driven to smash targets with your team driving sales and guest satisfaction.
• Manage food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
