A welcoming school in Chippenham, Wiltshire, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Aspiring Educational Psychologist to support children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD.

The Role

As an Aspiring Educational Psychologist, you will:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support to children with a range of SEN and additional needs.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and create a safe, inclusive environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.
  • Observe and identify barriers affecting children's learning, behaviour, communication and emotional development.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, confidence, resilience and positive social skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and specialist professionals to support pupil progress.
About You

The ideal Aspiring Educational Psychologist will have a degree or be studying towards a degree in Psychology or a related subject, alongside a genuine interest in child development, SEN and educational wellbeing. You will be patient, compassionate and resilient, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential. Most importantly, you will be motivated to understand the individual needs of children and passionate about helping them achieve their potential.
