Job summary

Academics in Chippenham is seeking an Aspiring Educational Psychologist to support pupils with SEN. You will provide 1-1 and small group mentoring, helping children overcome barriers to learning and supporting communication and social skills.

This role offers hands-on school-based experience, with September 2026 start and a daily rate of £85-£110 depending on experience. Full or part-time placements available, paid weekly via PAYE, in Wiltshire.

Qualifications

• Degree in psychology or related subject.
• Passion for child development and SEN/psychology.
• Patient, resilient and compassionate.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Experience with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-1 and small group mentoring support with children with SEN needs.
• Support the creation of a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning.
• Help children develop coping strategies and social skills.
