Job summary

Academics is recruiting an Aspiring Child Counsellor/SEN TA for a specialist school in Esher (Surrey). You will support pupils aged 7-17 with SEMH/MLD/ASD, deliver 1:1 and small group support, and follow safeguarding guidelines in a busy classroom.

Work is Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30, term-time only, £93-£105 per day. Right to work in the UK is required, and enhanced DBS/ DBS checks may be requested by the client.

Qualifications

• Support pupils with SEMH/MLD/ASD needs in a classroom setting.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils and carers.
• Comply with safeguarding guidelines and CPD requirements.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to team plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with learning activities.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils.
• Help manage behaviour and support inclusion.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents as needed.
