Job summary

NHS Scotland invites applications for a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Stracathro Regional Treatment Centre. The post is 36 hours per week and part of a formal 18-month training pathway toward becoming an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, with a further 6 months consolidation anticipated.

Successful applicants will have ongoing professional development and degree-level education, with registered status on UK NMC Sub-parts.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with UK NMC Sub-part 1 RN1 or RN A or Sub-part 2 RN2.
• Evidence of continual professional development in an appropriate clinical setting.
• Willingness to work towards Masters level education and multi-speciality experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop autonomous practice while completing 18-month training.
• Lead within the acute surgical unit with strong leadership and communication.
• Be prepared for evening and weekend shift patterns to meet service needs.
