Remedy Education are seeking an ASD Teaching Assistant in Greenwich to join a specialist SEN school. You will support pupils with autism through 1:1 and small-group learning, using visual timetables and structured routines to aid communication, engagement and independence.

Ideal candidates are calm, proactive and resilient, with experience in SEN settings or related environments and a genuine passion for supporting children with ASD.

Qualifications

  • Experience with ASD or SEN settings preferred.
  • Ability to support 1:1 and small group learning.
  • Use of visual timetables and structured routines.
  • Willingness to provide personal care when required.
  • Calm, proactive and resilient with a genuine interest in working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with ASD across classroom activities and structured learning.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions.
  • Support pupils with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
  • Use visual timetables, structured routines and individualised learning strategies.
  • Help pupils manage sensory needs and transitions throughout the day.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement with learning.
  • Support pupils who may be non-verbal or have limited spoken communication.
  • Manage behaviours calmly and consistently using positive strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and other SEN professionals.
  • Provide personal care where required.
