Job summary

Prospero Teaching are recruiting for 2 ASD Specialists to join a specialist SEN school in Dudley, supporting pupils with EHCPs for ASD and complex needs. You will provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to help learners access learning and develop communication, social and independence skills.

The role is full-time, five days a week, with a focus on creating a safe, inclusive learning environment, working closely with teachers, SEN staff, families and external professionals to promote pupil

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with ASD or complex needs.
• Experience in SEN or specialist education setting preferred.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Working Full-time, 5 days a week.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ASD and complex needs.
• Implement individualised support strategies in line with pupils EHCPs.
• Support communication, emotional regulation, behaviour and social development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, families and external professionals.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Promote pupils independence, well-being and engagement in learning.
