Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is supporting a well-established asbestos consultancy in London to recruit an experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst. The role covers surveying and analytical duties across commercial and mixed-use properties in London and surrounding areas.

You will work independently within a team, delivering high-quality asbestos services while ensuring compliance with current legislation, HSE guidance and UKAS procedures. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402/P403/P404 qualifications (or equivalent).
• Experience working in a dual Surveyor / Analyst role.
• Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage workload independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, leak testing, smoke testing, and reassurance sampling.
• Working across commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties.
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Managing your own workload effectively across multiple client sites.
• Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

The role

As an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will carry out both surveying and analytical duties across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties throughout London.

Working independently and as part of an experienced team, you will deliver high-quality asbestos services while ensuring full compliance with current legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.
