Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor Analyst to support a busy workload across Basildon and the wider Essex region. The role offers a genuine mix of surveying and analytical duties across commercial, domestic, and public sector sites with strong career progression.

Ideal candidates will hold BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications, have UKAS-accredited consultancy experience, and a full UK driving licence with excellent report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition asbestos surveys per HSG264.
• Undertake air monitoring, including four-stage clearances and reoccupation certification.
• Produce accurate and compliant survey and analytical reports (HSG264/HSG248).
• Work across commercial, domestic, and public sector properties.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams; maintain safety and compliance.

The Role

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
• Undertaking air monitoring, including four-stage clearances and reoccupation certification
• Carrying out reassurance, leak, background, and personal air testing where required
• Conducting bulk sampling and ensuring correct procedures are followed
• Producing accurate and compliant survey and analytical reports in accordance with HSG264 and HSG248
• Working across commercial, domestic, and public sector properties
• Managing your workload efficiently across multiple sites
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and compliance

About You

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential)
• Previous experience working in an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst or dual role
• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation
• Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to manage your own workload independently
• Professional, organised, and reliable approach to work
