Penguin Recruitment Ltd is supporting a well-established asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to cover Newport and the wider South Wales region. This dual-qualified role offers a balance of surveying and analytical duties across commercial and mixed-use properties, with structured workloads and strong operational support.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent).
• Experience as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Knowledge of HSG264/HSG248 and UKAS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, leak testing, smoke testing, and reassurance sampling in accordance with HSG248.
• Working across commercial and mixed-use properties.
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Managing your own workload efficiently across multiple client sites; liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will undertake both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a varied portfolio of commercial and mixed-use sites throughout South Wales.

Working independently and alongside an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst will ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards while maintaining full compliance with HSE guidance and UKAS procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, Asbestos Surveyor, or Asbestos Analyst
• Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance requirements
• Ability to manage your own workload independently
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
• Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
