Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to support a busy Yorkshire workload across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and public sector sites. The role combines surveying and analytical duties with strong earning potential and long-term progression within a well-established consultancy.

The position offers a genuine mix of fieldwork and reporting alongside ongoing training, with a company vehicle or car allowance, pension, and generous leave.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 & P404 are essential qualifications.
• Previous experience as an Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst is required.
• Strong understanding of current asbestos legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Undertake air monitoring, leak testing, reassurance testing and 4-stage clearances per HSG248.
• Conduct bulk sampling and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Produce accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Work across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and public sector sites.
• Manage your own workload across Yorkshire with support from the operations team.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure all work complies with current legislation, HSE guidance, and company procedures.

The Role

About You

• BOHS P402, P403 & P404 (essential)
• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation
• Confident carrying out 4-stage clearances and air monitoring independently
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Professional, organised, and reliable
