Job summary

TristoneNash are recruiting an Asbestos Project Manager on a permanent basis to lead asbestos remedial programmes for a large housing provider.

You will design, manage and deliver programmes to time, budget and regulatory standards, with travel across geographical areas and a full driving licence required.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, or P403 & P404 qualified with asbestos experience.
• Knowledge of asbestos risk management and regulatory obligations in housing/construction.
• Project management qualification is desirable; training can be provided.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Valid driving licence with access to a car and willingness to travel across areas served.

Responsibilities

• Specifying, scoping, producing and project managing asbestos programmes from inception to delivery.
• Carrying out audits to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
• Ensuring high standards of customer care and handling queries promptly.
• Recording and reporting risks and lessons learned during the project lifecycle.

Job description

TristoneNash are working with a large provider of affordable housing to assist them with their search for an Asbestos Project Manager on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for designing, managing, and successfully delivering a range of asbestos remedial programmes in a timely, cost-effective manner and to a high standard.

Duties will include:

• Specifying, scoping, producing and project managing programmes of work from inception to delivery for compliance requirements across the entire operational area of the housing association, ensuring all works are executed on time, in budget and in accordance with regulatory requirements

• Carrying out audit inspections to ensure all works are delivered in accordance with agreed specification and quality standards ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and policies and procedures.

• Ensuring excellent standards of customer care are applied to each contract. Dealing with all relevant customer queries &/or complaints in a sympathetic, pragmatic, and prompt manner as per agreed policies and procedures.

• Recording and reporting any risks, issues, sharing lessons learned during the project lifecycle.

• Completing stock compliance survey audits ensuring records are accurate and suitable for requirement.

About You - We are looking for:

• Minimum BOHS P402, or P403 & P404 (or equivalent) qualified with demonstrable asbestos experience of working in a similar role within a housing association or contractor/consultancy.

• A good understanding & knowledge of Asbestos risk management, regulatory compliance, relevant statutory obligations related to the construction industry and housing sector (e.g., CDM & Asbestos regulations), with a keen focus on customer service standards.

• Project Management qualification (Desirable but training can be given).

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word & Excel IT and computer skills.

• Proactive, works on own initiative, able to prioritise workload and work well under pressure often producing outputs to tight deadlines.

• Must hold a full driving licence with access to a car. Will require business insurance for use in connection with the role and a willingness to travel across all geographical areas covered by the organisation
