Job summary

Future Select Recruitment is recruiting an Asbestos Laboratory Analyst for a privately owned outfit in Motherwell, Central Scotland. Salary £26k-£31k with training and benefits is offered, with both full-time and part-time positions available.

The role involves analysing bulk ACM samples using stereo-microscopy and PLM, safe handling, updating records, and creating certificates, while adhering to HSG and UKAS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must hold the BOHS P401 as a minumum
• Experience analysing bulk ACM samples
• Excellent technical knowledge, including HSG and UKAS guidelines
• Comfortable working independently
• Able to manage own time efficientlyGood literacy, numeracy and IT skills

Responsibilities

• Analysing bulk ACM samples using stereo-microscopy and PLM methods
• Safety receiving and storing samples
• Updating internal records with test results
• Creating test certificatesCalibrating equipment and organising any repairs / maintenance
• Ensuring to adhere to industry guidelines
• Keeping the laboratory clean and functional
• Maintaining own personal technical knowledge
