Job summary

Onward Homes is hiring a Safer Neighbourhoods Specialist (ASB) to tackle anti-social behaviour, harassment and hate crime in the East Region with some West region cover. You will manage a varied caseload and work with residents, agencies and legal teams to secure positive outcomes and safer neighbourhoods.

A Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car are required. You will liaise with authorities, support agencies and police, chair multi‑agency meetings, and prepare court documentation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of housing legislation and regulations.
• Experience delivering face-to-face customer service in challenging environments.
• Experience developing partnerships with local authorities and community groups.
• Good understanding of social, economic and political factors affecting local communities.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of County Court procedures and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Investigate anti-social behaviour, harassment and hate crime and take action.
• Provide guidance to customers, colleagues and partners on community safety.
• Manage a complex caseload and progress cases efficiently.
• Build relationships with authorities, police and community organisations.
• Chair and attend multi‑agency meetings to coordinate interventions.
• Prepare legal documents and evidence for court proceedings.
• Support and promote community safety initiatives and funding opportunities.
