Job summary

Ongo is seeking an ASB Officer to investigate anti-social behaviour, hate crime, and tenancy issues across its neighbourhoods. The role blends enforcement and support, engaging with residents, colleagues, and external agencies to promote safe, sustainable communities through early intervention, legal action, and community engagement.

You will investigate reports, collate evidence, and participate in court proceedings while collaborating with partners to resolve cases.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing, legal, or community settings.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policy, and best practice.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with resilience.
• Experience in partnership working with statutory and support services.
• Competent in using housing management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to delivering inclusive, high-quality customer service.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Daily neighbourhood-based work, including walking and stair climbing.
• Occasional evening/weekend work and court attendance.
• Adherence to health and safety protocols, including PPE and ID use.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of ASB, hate crime, and tenancy breaches in line with policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve cases.
• Lead and represent Ongo at multi-agency meetings.
• Prepare evidence, legal documentation, and attend court proceedings.
• Deliver training and coaching to colleagues and partners on ASB and tenancy management.
• Respond to serious ASB incidents within 24 hours, applying a harm-centered approach.
• Maintain accurate case records and provide timely updates to tenants and stakeholders.
• Ensure safeguarding, data protection, and health and safety regulations.
• Support victims, survivors and witnesses through safeguarding and referrals.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and residents.
