Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer to support a busy social housing service. The role manages a caseload of ASB cases from initial investigation through to resolution and involves investigatory work, witness statements, and enforcement action.

You will work with residents and partner agencies to resolve complex tenancy-related issues, prepare legal case files, and support safeguarding measures for vulnerable residents as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in ASB investigations and enforcement within local authorities or housing associations.
• Experience handling complex ASB investigations and enforcement cases independently.
• Strong knowledge of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and housing legislation.
• Experience preparing legal documentation, witness statements and evidence for injunctions and possession proceedings.
• Knowledge of tenancy enforcement, safeguarding procedures and multi-agency case management.
• Experience using housing management systems and maintaining case records.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of ASB cases from initial investigation to resolution.
• Investigate reports of nuisance, harassment, intimidation, hate crime and tenancy-related ASB.
• Gather evidence, conduct interviews, prepare witness statements and maintain case records.
• Take enforcement action including warning letters, contracts, injunctions and possession proceedings.
• Prepare legal case files and witness statements, collaborating with legal teams and attending court when required.
• Collaborate with the police, community safety teams and safeguarding services to resolve cases.
• Support victims and vulnerable residents, completing risk assessments and safeguarding measures.
• Monitor tenancy breaches and progress cases in line with housing policies and legislation.
