Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an Art Instructor for an Alternative Provision in the Burnley area. The role offers flexible hours (part-time or full-time) with ASAP start, and focuses on helping disengaged young people explore creativity through art.

You will design engaging, therapeutic projects, deliver hands-on sessions, foster a safe environment, build positive relationships, track engagement, and collaborate with education and support staff to support student welfare and development.

Qualifications

• Background in art, design, or art therapy with experience teaching or mentoring youth
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Ability to start ASAP

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative art sessions tailored to small groups or 1-to-1 settings
• Foster a safe, non-judgemental environment for self-expression
• Build positive relationships with students with diverse needs
• Track engagement and celebrate progress informally
• Collaborate with education and support staff for holistic care
