Pay Rate: £174.7 - £240.72 per day
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a progressive Alternative Provision (AP) setting in Blackpool to appoint a creative, resilient, and passionate Art Teacher. This role focuses on engaging Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who have become disengaged from mainstream education or require specialised Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) support. You will use art, design, and practical creativity as a therapeutic and educational tool to help students build self-esteem, express themselves, and achieve meaningful qualifications.
Qualifications: Hold a relevant degree in Fine Art, Art & Design, or a related subject, alongside Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status, or strong proven experience as an Unqualified Teacher / Vocational Instructor.
Experience: Previous experience working within an Alternative Provision, SEN school, or challenging classroom environments is highly desirable.
Skills: Exceptional behaviour management skills, emotional resilience, patience, and a natural ability to connect with hard-to-reach young people.
Compliance: Must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
