Marchant Recruitment is seeking an inspirational Head of Art & Design for a creative secondary academy in Chichester, starting January on a full-time, permanent basis. You will lead Fine Art, Photography, Graphic Communication and 3D design, guiding students through portfolio development and contextual studies.

You will manage art spaces, curation schedules, and NEA assessments across KS3–KS5, while line-managing staff and technicians and delivering a strategic vision for the department.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or UK credentials with an honours degree in Fine Art or Visual Arts.
• Strong portfolio and proven GCSE/A-Level outcomes in Art.

Responsabilités

• Provide artistic vision and leadership for the Art department.
• Teach practical and theoretical Art across KS3–KS5.
• Manage studio spaces, equipment, and budgets.
• Oversee GCSE/A-Level portfolios, NEA moderation and exam submissions.
• Organise annual student exhibitions and gallery visits.
• Line-manage teachers and art technicians.
