Job summary

Marchant Recruitment seeks an experienced Head of Art for a highly regarded Cambridgeshire school. You will lead a well-established Art Department, inspire students and colleagues, and shape a broad, challenging curriculum within a supportive environment.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on teaching across Key Stages, safeguarding responsibilities, and driving creative outcomes. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional subject knowledge and collaborative leadership

Qualifications

• Experienced Art Teacher with strong subject knowledge
• Previous experience of departmental leadership or the ability to demonstrate strong leadership potential
• Ability to teach Art across the relevant Key Stages
• Experience developing and delivering an engaging Art curriculum
• A formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of differing abilities
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
• Legal ability to work within the UK

• Lead and inspire students while developing an engaging Art curriculum
• Shape curriculum provision and support colleagues
