Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a highly successful 11-19 Catholic school in Birmingham to appoint a Teacher of Art on a full-time, one-year fixed-term maternity cover from January 2027. You will teach across KS3 and KS4, planning engaging lessons, assessing progress and preparing students for external examinations.

Salary: £170 - £241 per day

The school is looking to appoint a Teacher of Art on a full-time, one-year fixed-term maternity cover contract from January 2027. The successful Teacher of Art will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, planning engaging lessons, assessing student progress and preparing students for external examinations while contributing to the continued success of the Art & Design department.

The successful Teacher of Art will have:

• QTS with an Art or Art & Design specialism
• Experience teaching Art across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to plan engaging and challenging lessons
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• High expectations for student achievement and progress
