Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a highly successful 11-19 Catholic school in Birmingham to appoint a Teacher of Art on a full-time, one-year fixed-term maternity cover from January 2027. You will teach across KS3 and KS4, planning engaging lessons, assessing progress and preparing students for external examinations.

The school promotes a Catholic ethos and provides a supportive environment focused on achievement, professional growth and development for students and staff.

Qualifications

• QTS with Art or Art & Design specialism.
• Experience teaching Art across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong curriculum knowledge and engaging lessons.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
• High expectations for student achievement and progress.

Responsibilities

• Teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Plan engaging lessons and assess student progress.
• Prepare students for external examinations.
• Contribute to the continued success of the Art & Design department.
