SSAFA’s Housing and Homelessness Advisor role supports serving personnel, veterans and families across the city, delivering person-centred housing advice and casework. Based in the Glasgow area, you’ll work with local authorities and providers to sustain long-term housing and prevent homelessness.

You will triage enquiries, manage a varied caseload and develop outcomes through early intervention, safeguarding and multi-agency collaboration, including outreach work and occasional after-hours

Qualifications

• To be successful in this role, you will be proactive, compassionate and motivated to support the Armed Forces community through complex housing challenges.
• Strong transferable skills and relevant experience in housing and homelessness are essential.

Responsabilités

• Triage enquiries and manage a varied caseload with person-centred housing support.
• Apply for funding for rent, deposits and emergency accommodation.
• Collaborate with local authorities, housing providers and third-sector partners.
• Represent SSAFA in forums and stakeholder events; engage in outreach and home visits.
