Job summary

Manchester City invites applications for a role in the Junior Academy talent identification. You will coordinate a team of scouts across a defined area, help plan coverage and identify players who fit the Club’s recruitment philosophy.

Regular attendance at matches and events will be required, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and accurate reporting. You'll build trusted relationships with local clubs, coaches, parents and other stakeholders, working closely with the Senior Local

Qualifications

• Experience working with young players, parents and other football stakeholders within a football environment.
• Availability to scout Saturday and Sunday fixtures, with some mid-week evenings as required.
• Ability to coordinate a team, schedules and multiple priorities effectively.
• Clear and effective communication skills, with confidence providing feedback and support to colleagues.

The Role

This role sits at the heart of the Club’s talent identification activity across a defined geographical area. You will coordinate a team of scouts, help ensure coverage is planned effectively, and support the consistent identification of players who fit the Club’s recruitment philosophy.

Day to day, you will monitor reporting quality, provide feedback and development support, and keep area operations running smoothly through clear scheduling, communication and compliance. The role also involves regular attendance at matches and events, with a strong focus on safeguarding and accurate record keeping.

You will build trusted relationships with local clubs, coaches, parents and other stakeholders, representing the Club professionally in every interaction. Working closely with the Senior Local Recruitment Manager and wider recruitment colleagues, you will help strengthen the area network and contribute to the long‑term success of the Junior Academy.

What You’ll Bring
