Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking Area Security Officers to patrol our retail store locations in the UK. You will ensure safety for staff and visitors and deter theft while maintaining positive customer relations.

Flexible shift patterns are required; role includes transfer to client after 12 weeks with benefits such as SIA license renewal, cycle-to-work, and private medical cover. Previous security experience is valued but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• SIA license required.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Must be physically fit.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detection devices.
• Build positive relationships with staff and customers.

Pay Rate – £12.71

Location – Bideford

Shift Timings – Must be fully flexible

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
