Job summary

BardWood Support Services in Plymouth is seeking an Area Support Officer to provide security across client premises and retail sites. You will perform regular patrols, maintain a strong presence, and cover multiple sites as required.

The role requires shifts including day and night, weekends, and travel between sites. After 12 weeks, the role transfers to the client with benefits such as SIA license renewal, private medical cover, pensions, and other perks.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor licence (DS).
• Driver with access to own vehicle is required.
• Willingness to travel reasonable distances as required.
• Experience working in retail environments is preferred.
• Flexibility to take on different duties/contracts.
• Five-year checkable work/career history.
• Ability to work under pressure and stay physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Provide security support across client premises and retail sites.
• Carry out regular patrols and maintain a visible security presence.
• Provide cover at different sites as required by the business.
• Monitor access and egress and respond to incidents appropriately.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors and clients.
• Complete accurate incident reports and follow ASCONE/SAFER procedures.
• Respond confidently to emergencies and elevate issues when required.
• Travel between sites and support other duties as required.

Pay Rate – £12.71

Location – Plymouth

Shift Timings – Must be available to workboth day and night shifts, including weekends, and be willing to travel reasonable distances as required.
