Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Area Services Manager to lead maintenance activities across the Cotswolds, Cherwell and Oxford areas, ensuring compliant, safe and reliable operation. You will drive asset performance, mentor teams and coordinate maintenance delivery from Banbury/Witney sites, with travel across the region.

The role calls for experience in industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance, strong leadership, H&S expertise and proficiency with SAP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Background in industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance including planned and preventative maintenance.
• Minimum of a BTEC / NVQ L3 or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical and a BTEC HNC Electrical / Mechanical or have an ICA background.
• Experienced people-manager with a proven history of engaging and developing a team, and ideally mentoring apprentices.
• Strong focus on H&S skills, legislation, and application; NEBOSH ideal.
• Excel and SAP experience desirable; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance strategies to improve asset efficiency, reliability and site resilience 24/7.
• Provide technical input to site improvements for effective solutions.
• Identify, mitigate and escalate risk across site and team; act as escalation point.
• Own and optimise maintenance delivery plan with process delivery plan.
• Monitor plant performance, investigate failures and implement corrective actions.
• Drive cost reductions in maintenance serviceability by asset type.
