Job summary

Thames Water in Banbury/Witney area is seeking an Area Services Manager to lead maintenance delivery across the Cotswolds, Cherwell, and Oxford regions. You will drive asset maintenance strategies, ensure statutory inspections, and support 24/7 operations.

You will manage a technical team, develop staff, monitor plant reliability, and control budgets while promoting Health and Safety, excellent service, and continuous improvement. A driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Background in industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance including planned and preventative maintenance.
• Experience leading and developing teams with a focus on H&S compliance.
• Ability to manage budgets and drive maintenance delivery improvements.

Responsibilities

• Focus on maintenance strategies to support asset efficiencies, reduce failures and ensure 24/7 safe operation.
• Provide technical input to site improvements projects for effective solutions.
• Identify, mitigate and escalate risk across site and team; act as escalation point.
• Own and optimise maintenance delivery plan with process delivery plan.
• Monitor plant performance, investigate failures and implement corrective actions.
• Drive cost reductions in maintenance serviceability by asset type.
