Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Area Operations Manager to lead end-to-end performance across water networks in Enfield, overseeing repair and maintenance with direct and 3rd party teams. The role emphasises safety, customer service and regulatory alignment within a £5m budget.

You will guide a team of up to 30–40 people across multiple sites, drive strategic and operational improvements, and ensure delivery of essential water services to millions of customers now and in the future.

• Experience in managing direct teams and third-party contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operations across water networks with a zero-compromise approach to safety and public health.
• Manage a budget of up to £5m and a customer base of around 1 million.
• Ensure outputs align with regulator-delivered incentives and company vision.
• Develop and mentor a team of 30–40 people across London/Thames Valley locations.
• Collaborate with asset management and contractors to identify risks and opportunities.
