Job summary

Thames Water is recruiting an Area Services Manager to lead maintenance strategies across the Cotswolds, Cherwell and Oxford areas. You will head a skilled team delivering specialist mechanical/electrical maintenance, ensuring compliance and performance across 24/7 operations.

You’ll be based at Banbury or Witney, travel to sites as needed, and work a 36-hour week with an out-of-hours rota. A driving licence and car are essential.

Qualifications

• Background in industrial mechanical/electrical maintenance incl. planned & preventative maintenance.
• Minimum BTEC/NVQ L3 Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent.
• BTEC HNC Electrical/Mechanical or ICA background is desirable.
• Experienced people-manager with ability to coach and mentor teams.
• Strong HS&E knowledge and ability to apply it across the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance strategies to improve asset efficiency and site resilience, 24/7 operation readiness.
• Provide technical input to site improvements and drive safe, robust solutions.
• Identify, mitigate and escalate risks across site and team.
• Own and optimise the maintenance delivery plan with process delivery.
• Monitor plant performance, investigate failures and implement corrective actions.
• Drive cost reductions in maintenance serviceability by asset type.
